I don’t know of a woman who does not enjoy being pampered and
having her nails done! A trip to the spa is definitely the height of
all things glam, so you can imagine my excitement when I received an invite
from Estée Lauder to share in the launch of their Pure Colour Nail Lacquer
range and get first-hand experience in their latest nail trends.
Upon arrival at Polish Nail Spa in Parkwood, Johannesburg, we were welcomed with light snacks and indulged in delicious treats while being given a mini beauty tutorial on what Estée Lauder has in store for eyes, lips and nails this Spring. To add to this I had the pleasure of sharing the day with popular musician Louise Carver and media personality Melanie Bala. You can’t possibly imagine the Cheshire cat smile on my face when I met these amazing women, both whom are Estée Lauder SA ambassadors.
Inspired by the evening ambience that can be felt in the city of
Paris at night, this Spring Estée Lauder and Creative Makeup director, Tom Pecheux dare you
to play in a world of bold, luminous and impactful colour with new Pure Colour Vivid Shine – the latest
wave of shades that dazzle nails with sparkling shine and chromatic colour. Using
the latest trend of nail pairing – combining two or more complementary shades -
the look of the day was the ever popular “Ring of Fire” as can be seen on the runway
and well-known publications. The Ring of fire consists of
painting nails using a fiery colour on your ring finger alone (known as the ‘accent
nail’), whilst painting the rest of your fingers using an equally bright or
plum colour.
Apart from having a relaxing & glamorous morning, being served by the
ultra-friendly staff at Polish Nail Spa, and conversing with the cheerful and
sincere Louise Carver and Melanie Bala – I enjoyed playing with the spectrum of
modern shades, textures and unprecedented colour of the Pure Colour Nail
Lacquer range. Thanks to the True

nail colour has lasted weeks after its application. All in all, my day was nothing short of absolutely fabulous!
